Dessert Trucks

Who does not like dessert?  We all have that bit of a sweet tooth.  The new craze now are dessert trucks.  What an excellent idea to have at your next event.  There are dessert trucks now popping up everywhere with all assortments of cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, and various frozen treats to delight your tastebuds.  You and your guests can have various different treats to taste.  Who does not like going up to an ice cream truck to put in their order for their dessert selection?  I will take  a red velvet delight please!

What time is your meal?

When planning your event there are different factors that come into play.  Some of these things include, time of day, location and costs.  In most cases food and beverage take up the majority of the budgeted costs for an event.  In making a decision on food choices it is good to know what time of day your affair will take place. 

Meal Times

Breakfast 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Brunch – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Lunch – 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
High Tea/Snacks –  2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Dinner/Cocktails – 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Passed or Stationary Hors d’oeuvres – 8 p.m. and later
Dessert –  9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Meal times will help you narrow your costs as well as allow your guests to know what type of meal to expect at your event.

Outdoor Event – Do you have a Plan B?

So you have been planning this wonderful outdoor event for months, but closer to the event date you notice that there may be “not so nice” weather that may also be in attendance.  What now?  Of course you have a plan B of where you will move your event to that will be indoors, but does your guests know that?  We suggest that you send “rain cards” to your guests that will advise them on where to go in the case of inclement weather.  In doing this, you help to assure guests that they will not have to endure the change in weather and increases their chances of attendance of the event you have put so much time and effort into planning.  Make sure to ask your stationery design team on the best way to advise your guests within your stationery choices.
